Three simple, bow-shaped structures were placed to its southeast to house students. The residential buildings were clad in timber The Kresge College Academic Center sits on an uneven site next to a steep ravine. The expansion's centrepiece is an academic centre with a series of protrusions that jut out asymmetrically from a core.

The upper levels are for the residential units and were clad in an exterior insulation finishing system (EIFS) to protect from sun and street sounds on two sides, while the lower levels hold communal areas. The photography is by Casey Dunn.
