Although reading has been low on my list of priorities under the circumstances, I wanted to take the brief chance I have now to highlight some books released so far this year — a dozen of them, presented in order of date of publication. No doubt, people reading this book are eager to take on the question.

"Deconstructivism left us with the notion that architecture can be an act of continual revolution"

I used the phrase, coined by Coop Himmelb(l)au as part of its Blazing Wing installation (pictured), for a book I wrote and believed, at least for a while, that architecture could burn. First, there was the literal deconstruction of buildings, of which Gehry was the pioneer. The fire was ablaze in 1990.
