OMA overhauls 1970s modernist building for Singapore cooking club and campus

OMA has completed the AIR CIrcular Campus and Cooking Club in Dempsey Hill, Singapore. The scheme saw the overhaul of an existing modernist building and surrounding green space into what the team calls “a place for novel dining experiences, inviting broader thinking and discussions about food and the environment.”

Dutch studio OMA has transformed a modernist building in Singapore into the Air Circular Campus and Cooking Club, adding a cylindrical orange steel frame encompassing a bar and kitchen. It was originally built as a clubhouse for the Civil Service Club (CSC), providing sports and leisure activities for Singapore's civil servants.
