German architecture firm Henn and the Technical University of Dresden have completed the world's first building made of carbon concrete – a form of concrete reinforced with carbon fibre instead of steel. The Cube also takes advantage of another property of carbon fibre: its conductivity.

Here, wooden slats cover the cubes, while the windows disappear behind translucent folding shutters that can be opened for an unobstructed view.
