The project’s two L-shaped towers, each 40 storeys in height, face each other from the north and south corners, while the podium of 3–4 storeys forms a perimeter that encloses almost the entire site to create the protective environment at its heart. Urban Growers Collective is creating the structure using materials grown on its 14-acre urban farm. Schafer Park, the site is one of eight farms operated by Urban Growers Collective (UGC). The farm network was founded by Erika Allen, an artist whose practice addresses oppression and structural racism in food systems and agriculture.

Located at the center of Jiaxing, a historic city 100 kilometers southwest of Shanghai, the project replaces a dysfunctional train station that had stood at the site between 1995 and 2019. Over 1,500 trees, including beech, camphor, osmanthus, maple, sebifera, sequoia, and cherry blossom were planted across the site.
