Architecture practice DGN Studio has extended a terraced home in east London with spaces and materials that form a backdrop to the client's mid-century furniture collection. DGN Studio has extended the Magpie House in London. It is designed as a backdrop to the client's furniture collection. The kitchen features wooden joinery.

We were commissioned by our clients to transform an outdated Flemish 3-fronted house with traditional rear extension into a contemporary home with plenty of light. In the design, we kept the main house and replaced the rear extension. The kitchen takes a central place in the house.
