Located in Washington’s Kitsap Peninsula, the rambler-style home utilized the trees for the roof and a coffee table, too. On a secluded wooded site, the new structure grounds itself to the earth with its approach to material and form. The roof is an additional level that provides more outdoor space, and has an elevated herb garden.

Roughly rectangular in plan, the dwelling has cutouts, cantilevers and multiple sloped roofs that combine in a sculptural way. Desai Chia created "winged" roofs for the house.
