This recently completed project located in the London Borough of Kingston Upon Thames is spread between two semi-detached Victorian properties which both sought to extend their roof spaces. The new dormer, though long, reads as four small dormers; this was carefully designed to reduce visual impact.

It is distinguished by its inverted-pitched roof, or butterfly roof, which references the surrounding 19th-century architecture and inspired the project's name.
