SelgasCano has created a colourful hillside house in Los Angeles The two-storey home protrudes from the slope, set back from the street and a large retaining wall at the top of the property. Interior elements were mostly clad in Oregon Pine on the walls with Chestnut Pine used for the flooring. The photography is by Iwan Baan.

Both exposed reinforced concrete structures, cast with brushed pine board shutters, articulate a courtyard with barbecue and swimming pool for the exclusive use by the owners of the house. The house is accessed from the street which runs parallel to the sea, the most distant, entering through a large concrete portico which contains the door.
