The goal of the graph on which I was working when I needed to know how to add Shared Parameters to the Other Parameter Group was to allow a user to easily add additional shared parameters that we use to track issued Sheets in our Drawing List Schedule. Our template files have the first ten of these in them, and for some projects, that is enough. Others have many more than ten issuances, particularly those that track issuances during the design phases.

A comprehensive new report on the North American mass timber market projects that the number of mass timber buildings could double every two years. Dubbed Barbizon and developed for the redevelopment of the lots on the Barbizonlaan in Capelle can den IJssel, the 129,000-sf project is a green residential complex built with prefabricated CLT modules. The 112 apartments in 16 different housing types vary in size from approximately 485 sf to approximately 1,300 sf.

North America’s construction output is forecast to fall by 6.5% in 2020, with Canada projected to see the steepest decline in output (-7%) owed in part to the collapse in global oil prices, while construction output in the US is projected to decrease by -6.5%, according to GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

Construction employment increased by 158,000 jobs in June, but employment related to infrastructure slipped, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of government data released today. Association officials cautioned that additional infrastructure-building job losses are inevitable unless the federal government replenishes depleted state and local budgets for roads and other public works.
