You may be better off working with an independent contractor. Taxes, health benefits, equipment… all the responsibility of the contractor. Whether you hire an employee or an independent contractor, the IRS wants to know about it. You may decide that you don’t need to hire an employee. Keep the IRS happy. Do a background check.
