Being a crucial development in China’s network security field, the base requires meticulous planning in order to accommodate high-tech enterprises of such scale.

The headquarters connects the major public green axis, overlooking the Smart Gate to the north and the landscape park to the south. Our design breaks the conventional closed layout, optimising the natural topography to create a smart commercial space which integrates the multi-dimensional urban context and inherits the corporate spirit.

This land offers Tours Métropole the opportunity to rethink the entire airport area, and to include it in the urban renewal process yet under way in the north-east of the city. A new tramway has initiated a partial regeneration of the urban fabric, but it cannot succeed to improve the cohesion and sustainability of the area on its own.

MASSLAB’s project stood out from other proposals by its smart integration of new buildings with the existing urban framework and infrastructure.
