Continuing our Social Housing Revival series , we revisit the regeneration of the Grade II listed Bourne Estate in north London , completed in 2018 by local studio Matthew Lloyd Architects. Originally constructed in 1905 by the London County Council, the Bourne Estate was among the UK's earliest council-housing schemes.

Michael Squire of Squire & Partners dies aged 77

Squire & Partners was responsible for many key buildings and major urban projects across the UK and London, including masterplans such as Chelsea Barracks, One Tower Bridge and Southbank. In 2017, the practice worked with SOM to build the Lexicon, a 117-metre-tall tower in Islington. Squire founded his practice in 1976.
