Who are the clients and what’s interesting about them? Budget dictated a facelift of the existing structure rather than a rebuild so the design is a sort stage-set behind which a lot of the original building still sits. The house purchase and the early design work all took place in 2021, at the heart of the Covid 19 pandemic.

Year: 2021. The day when I stood on the site, facing the vast ocean, the complex feeling I had in that moment inspired me. As this is an all-glass box with no dead space, the biggest challenge was to hide the pipework and structure. The architects and structural engineers worked together to achieve an overhang of 8 meters.
