Transformation works in the area commenced in 2014, including the refurbishment of the redundant railway arches into commercial units, bringing jobs and amenities to the local community. Restored to its former glory, the refurbishment of the swing bridge laid the foundations for future phases of the transformation.

When RAAarchitects purchased this dilapidated two-storey commercial property in 2017, it was in desperate need of attention. Our intentions were to catalyse the (re)activation of the building across its two street frontages; establishing a precedent for the area and other underutilised inner-city commercial terraces.”.
