Canada's first Ace Hotel has opened in Toronto , housed in a new building by Shim-Sutcliffe Architects that features a lobby suspended from huge concrete arches. The lobby at Ace Toronto is suspended from trapezoidal arches by thin steel rods. Shim-Sutcliffe Architects collaborated with Atelier Ace on the hotel's interiors.
