Views of the Connecticut coastline are foregrounded by 3.15 The island is sheltered at the eastern end of Long Island Sound, just 3 km south of Connecticut, meaning waters stay warm during fall and winter. Its proximity to Connecticut means it feels more like New England than other islands in the Long Island archipelago.

Thule and Yakima are the two brands that generally crop up as the best in the business; I bought my Yakima second-hand from a woman who left Northern California for Connecticut because her son had asthma and couldn’t handle the wildfire smoke. Delightful!

One thing that I have to be mindful of is the geo-tagging capability that programs have built into them. The image above is my geo-tagged photo map (at different zoomed in levels). I really like this feature and use it frequently … but not everyone wants their business or project tagged in my photo stream. Live and learn!
