The 2022 MPavilion has officially opened in Melbourne, Australia. Finally, the bottom layer is composed of a “waffle” of colored fabric made of 49 individual sections, designed to “move with the breeze and filter light, evoking the feeling of gently resting under trees.”

We removed a section of the attic floor to a double-height void over the first floor. When the roof on Mike and Keryn’s ski villa was upgraded, it created a new second-floor attic with a triangular window that filled the space with northern light. Our design began with the impractical attic space at the roof and wall junction.

Located on a corner block in historic conservation zone, extensive restoration and repair work was undertaken on the external façade, whilst a modern, light filled extension married both heritage and contemporary elements.
