The recent RISD-graduate makes textiles that evoke barber shops, Miami, and the Carribbean diaspora. The 23-year-old designer recently finished a BFA at RISD. Ozemba and Hung met while studying at RISD , and founded their brand in 2017 before debuting a range of handmade clay designs a year later. Its interior was renovated in the ’70s with features that call to mind loud shirts, fat ties and wide lapels. The congregation bought the house on Walcott. Next to it they built a new church in a St. George-meets-George Jetson style. It opened in 1967. The Read-Ott served as the congregation’s parish house.
