Frank Lloyd Wright ’s California seaside project, Mrs. Clinton Walker House, has sold for $22 million after being listed on the market in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, according to the Wall Street Journal. Thomas Church was also responsible for the landscaping at the site in his pioneering California Style.

American studio Walker Warner Architects has completed Hale Kiawe, a family retreat with simple, gabled forms are set within an undulating landscape dotted with chunky lava rocks. Walker Warner Architects designed the retreat with simple, gabled forms For a 4.7 (1.9-hectare) The interior was designed by local firm Philpotts Interiors.

The first in a series of bridges on Chengdu’s West Line Road, the new 295-metre Chengdu West First Bridge crosses the Jiangxi River, a tributary of the Tuojiang River in China’s Sichuan province. Concrete abutments at either end of the bridge incorporate connectors linking the road deck to the West Line Road’s surface.

photo © Arch-Exist With its 185-metre central span and 55-metre secondary spans reaching to the riverbanks, the Chengdu West First Bridge is a road, cycle and pedestrian bridge over the meandering Jiangxi River; enabling the West Line Road to become the western section of the Airport New Town ring-road and cycle route.

The proposal, which was the winning entry of a recent competition, is set to be built partly over a road in the new Jinghe New City technology hub to the north of Xi'an. The part of the Jinghe New City Culture & Art Centre that spans the road will include elevated courtyards, gardens and paths. It will feature a theatre.
