According to his brief, the project is designed in a minimalist, almost laboratory style. Initially a snow-white project, the artwork by the American artist Vargas-Suarez Universal was harmoniously complemented by a composition of black lines applied to the various surfaces of the space in an artist’s recognisable pattern.

Reception to the Gymnasium: The HKIA Community Building consists of a clubhouse and staff cafeteria, offering contemporary wellness amenities close to the workplace. Natural sunlight is penetrated into the interiors through the full-height windows, giving extensive views to various out the aspects of the airport.
