This week on Dezeen , the John Morden Centre in London by UK studio Mae Architects was revealed as the winner of the 2023 Stirling Prize. The building is a daycare centre for a retirement community with a cross-laminated timber structure and red brick facade, which the Stirling Prize jury described as "a place of joy and inspiration".

Bennetts Associates creates cross-laminated timber sports hall in King's Cross

UK studio Bennetts Associates has used cross-laminated timber and glulam to create the lightweight King's Cross Sports Hall, which is currently being used as the Construction Skills Centre. The King's Cross Sports Hall was built above three train lines. The building is located near King's Cross station.

London architecture studio WilkinsonEyre has completed the CIBC Square skyscraper in Toronto , Canada, which is surrounded in undulating glass facades. The building also serves as a transit hub with a bus station in the podium with connections to Union Square, a busy transit station in Toronto.
