Manhattan’s Irish Hunger Memorial undergoes $5.3 million renovation

Designed by sculptor and public artist Brian Tolle, the Irish Hunger Memorial is devoted to honor the Great Irish Hunger and Migration of 1845 to 1852. Small construction businesses will continue to lag other sectors in tech spending this year

Nearly three fifths of respondents to recent poll of 800 small businesses operating in 17 sectors plan to invest this year in technologies that would improve their companies’ productivity. Nearly half intend to invest in mobile technologies that could help them increase market share or cement customer relationships. And close to half of those polled say they’ll invest this year in cybersecurity tools to protect their data.

Fraud, cyber attacks, and security risks continue to plague the construction, engineering and infrastructure sector at high levels, according to senior corporate executives surveyed worldwide for the 2017/18 Kroll Annual Global Fraud & Risk Report.
