London studio Mae Architects has created Harriet Hardy House in Southwark, a block of 119 social homes complete with a community centre and cafe. Commissioned by Southwark Council, the housing forms part of the Aylesbury estate redevelopment and is organised in a U-shape around a central courtyard. The photography is by Tim Crocker.

US architecture studio GBBN designed three brick buildings that allow social housing to both "fit in and stand out" in Cincinnati, Ohio. The studio recently expanded a 19th century brick house in Pennsylvania into an education facility with a glass bridge connection and metal-clad, barn-like structure. Named the JArzm house – using the first initial of each family member – the home is set into a 60-foot slope in Los Angeles' Silver Lake neighborhood. John Friedman Alice Kimm Architects (JFAK) completed the house – and 540-square foot (50-square metre) accessory dwelling unit (ADU) – in November 2021.

The mounds flatten in areas to house tables Snøhetta was founded by Thorsen with architect Craig Dykers in 1989. Beijing City Library also incorporates spaces for performances and book restoration.

UK studio Kirkland Fraser Moor has created a contemporary house named Ashraya in Hertfordshire, England, which is topped by a cross-laminated timber arch. Ashraya stands next to a historic house and walled garden. The house sits under a CLT arch. The distinctive house was built under the Paragraph 80 planning regulation.
