California studio AUX Architecture has converted and expanded a synagogue on LA 's Westside to create the Glorya Kaufman Performing Arts Center for a nonprofit focused on children's welfare. AUX Architecture positioned the building on a sloped campus. The architecture was informed by a dance piece. Wood was used in the theatre.
