Brooklyn-based studio Modu has created a building envelope that lowers the ambient air temperature in order to help cool the interior and exterior of this Houston building. Each tenant will be provided with both an interior and exterior space. A bamboo grove will also provide additional shade.

The AIA Home Design Trends Survey for Q4 2023 focused on the theme ‘neighborhood and community design,’ and revealed a desire among clients for simpler detailing on home exteriors and more windows.

The project shares its name with the iconic French house built by architects Pierre Chareau and Bernard Bijvoet in 1932, which famously has walls of glass blocks.
