The new regional offices designed by De Zwarte Hond on the Noordzeeweg, in Amsterdam Westpoort, are circular and flexible, with a timber construction. Three Alliander companies will be located on the site as of the end of May 2023: grid operator Liander, technical specialist Qirion, and integrated energy solutions provider Kenter.

The new building is located right opposite our urban plan Cityplot Buiksloterham. Its design was developed integrally with Cityplot and shares the same ambitions on flexibility, circularity and social sustainability. Inside 360 Degrees, part of the bricks have been implemented in a cut-through format, literally displaying the construction waste.

DB55 revolves around four main pillars. Blended-use DB55 is a place for work, leisure, events, and sports, and even includes a children’s playground. In this blended venue, every square metre is used four times. The D/DOCK portfolio therefore varies in scale, from chair to city, from concept to activation, and from local to international.
