Wood will be the primary material used to construct this building for the city administration of Espoo, Finland , which is being designed by studios Cobe and Lundén Architecture Company. Named Espoo House, the 24,000-square-mere building is intended to pay homage to Finland's history of timber construction.

Last year, it was revealed that the country would host the 2029 Asian Winter Games at its Trojena resort.

The building is part of a larger masterplan for the so-called Espoon Keskus, one of five major urban centres in Espoo, creating a diverse neighbourhood with new residential buildings, commercial facilities, public transportation, and green urban spaces. Construction for Espoo House will begin in early 2026 and is expected to open in 2029.

The resort gained global attention in 2022 when it was announced that it had won the right to host the 2029 Asian Winter Games. Being masterplanned by German studio LAVA , the development will be arranged around an artificial lake with one mountain topped by a ski resort also designed by LAVA.
