A network of community organizations in the United States called the Right to the City Alliance was launched in 2007. Activists have also taken up the idea.

In 2007 BDC selected preservation expert Marty Azola from two redevelopment proposals. The main structure was listed on the National Register as historically significant in 2007. Ice cream was made at the site until the mid-1980s. This application has highlighted anomalies in your current rules and procedures which deserve reform.
