Polishing creates a shiny reflective surface and honing produces a matte finish. A honed matte finish is far better in my opinion. We went with honed black granite counter tops and they show every smudge and crumb. MurphyJ I’m glad you commented on the visibly clean counter top question. Personally, I like this.

Mattes At a previous firm, the Owner would do the whole act, swearing, yelling, throwing of furniture, etc. The camera was black, and apparently they have a natural problem with some predator who happens to be black. So, never wear black or dark colors around killer bees! in their interactions. I’m doomed.
