As was the architecture of Eliel Saarinen, the paintings of Akseli Gallen-Kallela, the political leadership of Marshall Mannerheim and perhaps most important the compiling of the Kalevala, the epic oral saga of Finland by Elias Lönnrot, published in 1849. I try and keep things light and share a thing or two about what I think I know.
