Dutch architecture studio MVRDV has revealed the Oasis Towers development in Nanjing , China, which is comprised of two L-shaped skyscrapers with angular cliff-like facades. Oasis Towers is a mixed-use development that was designed by MVRDV. It is comprised of two 150-metre tall towers. A road will bisect the site.

In my visits to Rotterdam and Toronto I was taken aback by the spirit of "can-do" optimism and the scale of projects those cities are undertaking to cope with their growth. Does this mean that warnings about unfettered growth are misplaced?

To reduce energy use, the building’s many overhangs limit solar gain, while the porosity of the structure means that apartments can be easily cooled using natural ventilation. The design of the building targets LEED-Platinum certification. Solar panels on the roof contribute towards the energy that the building does use. Martín López + Arch.
