The new building, known as the Colburn Center, will be located adjacent to Colburn’s Grand Avenue campus in Downtown Los Angeles, and will dramatically increase the school’s world-class training and performance facilities for music and dance. The Colburn Center is expected to reach substantial completion in Q1 of 2027.

At this point, we are well into 2024, and sure, you could say we are past creating resolutions, strategies and goals for the new year. That could mean hooking them up with mentors who can share their wisdom, covering the cost of courses to keep skills fresh or offering leadership training to help them level up.

Today the private retail portion of HarborPlace is slated for demolition. A public space is meant to be there "in perpetuity" (Baltimore city charter) whereas retail and restaurants have the shortest shelf life in real estate, much shorter than museums or exhibits which are more commonly inserted into public open spaces.

Entries for the 2024 awards will open in November! Due to rising construction costs and material supply constraints, standard grey blocks were chosen.
