Mexican architecture studio Cimet Arquitectos has remodelled and reinforced an 18-storey-tall structure in Mexico City after it was damaged by a series of earthquakes. Cimet Arquitectos restored an earthquake-damaged office tower in Mexico City. The structure had been unoccupied for years.

The offices were installed in the concrete structure at the base of 1 Place Ville Marie – a 47-storey skyscraper designed by modernist architects Henry N Cobb and IM Pei in the 1960s. Sid Lee Architecture remodelled the interiors of the concrete structure at the base of 1 Place Ville Marie in Montreal.

The store is located at a restored courtyard house in Beijing FOG Architecture renovated the building to reveal its original architecture, which features triangle-shaped timber roof trusses and series of wooden columns. These roofs were restored with the same grey brick tiles from the original building layered in the same density.

Inherited Service Space Marylebone Mews House shares the same history but with one large exception which complicated this house’s renovation – the plant room serving the larger house (now separated into flats) was still located in the mews house’s basement. Due to freeholder-leaseholder agreements this positioning had to be retained.

SMUD Headquarters Rehabilitation – Dreyfuss + Blackford designed the SMUD Headquarters building in the late-1950s and was commissioned 60 years later to renovate and rehabilitate the entire facility inside and out. Alterations and remodels over the years resulted in a dingy workspace unsuited for current and future generations of staff.
