It will sit in Linnanniemi, a former port area which will undergo regeneration – the museum being the flagship project, and will enjoy close links to the Turku Castle, the river Aura and the Baltic Sea. It will be one of the first new buildings in Linnanniemi, making it a new landmark for the whole Turku region.
