Along with the long-span Suspendome roof structure, this creates a light-filled, dynamic and spacious experience for visitors as they move through the building. The whole masterplan, the 116 acre park and its 7 buildings, were built in just three short years.

Work is organized into three principle activities: 1) Design Development and Entitlement Processes ; 2) Site Development Permits and Construction Documents for Upper Garden Development ; and 3) eighteen months of construction. The first phase is approximately seven acres.

A technical grid on the Warehouse ceiling permits any type of use, from concert to exhibition. A 33-metre-long bar is split in two by the ‘mega pig’ which is a key part of the building’s structural engineering, holding up the proscenium arch above. When SIM is open people can seamlessly move between the spaces.
