Affiliated Bank, Skokie. (currently Bank of America). Prior to its acquisition by Affiliated, this facility contained a branch bank, loan offices and back-of-house functions for a local Savings & Loan. In integrating the bank into its operation, Affiliated reduced the facility to a branch. To help maintain the street edge, the corner portion of the original limestone faced storefronts was retained.

Working on a cabin in the deeps woods in Wisconsin has been quite an adventure so far. This last week was a bit of a milestone because it was the first site visit I’ve taken where the actual cabin is starting to take shape. According to the contractor, the whole thing will be done by the end of June, although the owner and I aren’t sure that will happen.
