Chinese architecture studio MAD has rebuilt a historic station and created an underground terminal at the central train station in Jiaxing, China. The revamp of the 354,000-square-metre station is MAD 's first station and the studio hopes it will "redefine transportation infrastructure buildings in China".

MAD Architects has completed Jiaxing Train Station, the firm’s first transportation infrastructure reconstruction and expansion project. Located at the center of Jiaxing, a historic city 100 kilometers southwest of Shanghai, the project replaces a dysfunctional train station that had stood at the site between 1995 and 2019.

Chinese architecture studio MAD has unveiled its design for the Lishui Airport in China , which will feature a swooping white roof informed by soaring birds. MAD said it designed Lishui Airport as a "spiritual landmark" for the city. It will be spread over two levels designed to optimise passenger movement.
