Taking advantage of north-south aspect, a key element is the 360-degree panoramic high-level glazing that separates the walls from the roof structure. Steel portal frames were adopted as bracing elements, allowing the roof structure to appear to float.

Doyle Residence is an extension and partial restoration of a character villa located in a historical conservation zone, in one of Adelaide’s premier suburbs, Rose Park. S& B Doyle, Doyle Residence What was the brief? We had to rebuild whole sections of the wall as it wasn’t structurally sound.
