Remove water due to hot and dry conditions, and the soil contracts. This doesn’t mean that everyone who graduated in my era could sketch – far from it.

Backing up a bit, when I graduated from architecture school, I returned to Wisconsin to look for a job with an architectural firm to continue my apprenticeship. I discovered that two of them – JR and Charles King – were enrolled in law school. Since my curiosity was spurred, I enrolled in Atlanta Law School [10].
