The estimate for the overall weight of the fallen bridge is 27,000 tons. To get a detailed look at the submerged wreckage, officials used a sonar imaging tool called Echoscope —the “world’s highest resolution real-time 3D/4D sonar” technology, according to its manufacturer , CODA Octopus Group.
