Through extensive consultation with the school and its governors, a masterplan was developed which captured the aspirations for school which was then divided into a two-phase development project. The masterplan included the restacking of the school, with early years located at the lower level, rising to Year 6/Key Stage 2 on the upper floors.

A technical grid on the Warehouse ceiling permits any type of use, from concert to exhibition. A 33-metre-long bar is split in two by the ‘mega pig’ which is a key part of the building’s structural engineering, holding up the proscenium arch above. When SIM is open people can seamlessly move between the spaces.
