Elástica Studio settles Coral House along the beach

Coral House by Elástica Studio draws from its coastal surroundings, featuring coral floors and decks that echo the natural elements of the site in El Salvador. The design seamlessly incorporates existing palm trees, preserving the landscape. Despite the narrow plot, the architects expand the project laterally, optimizing space and bringing the ranch close to the beach. The house boasts expansive and open interiors, enhanced by strategically placed circulation around its perimeter. Notably, the high ceilings contribute to a sense of spaciousness and provide effective ventilation.

Casa Coral’s diverse materials create a juxtaposition of textures

Elástica Studio‘s project Casa Coral showcases a distinctive blend of materials, with coraline on the exterior and castile rods on the interior, creating a juxtaposition of textures. The integration of greenery into social areas and bedrooms further connects the indoors with the outdoors. The design pays homage to local craftsmanship, featuring hand-stamped bricks in the bathrooms, castile rod false ceilings, wicker-woven lamps, and a pool roof constructed with straw.
