It's hard to say whether there is such a thing as the perfect design for a WC, but it is true that the humble toilet can still be significantly optimised. At the ISH Fair in Frankfurt am Main, GEBERIT will be presenting a further development of its already proven WC systems, including the newly designed Acanto. What is particularly worth mentioning here is not only what can be seen in the bathroom itself, but also what is happening out of sight, because Geberit has also redesigned the concealed cistern, allowing 40% to be saved on the previous installation time. Flushing performance has also been significantly improved.

One of the secrets lies in the asymmetrical internal geometry of the toilet, which ensures that the flushing water is directed through the ceramic bowl in the form of a powerful vortex

In concrete terms, GEBERIT's programme of continuously perfecting the path of water-flow from the cistern via the WC into the waste pipe means water consumption in connection with dual-flush and flush-stop cisterns has been reduced to a fifth over the last 70 years, according to a model calculation. Meanwhile, the TurboFlush technology developed by the company, which has been further optimised for Acanto, also contributes to savings. In addition to its impressive flush performance, the WC garners additional points for its ease of cleaning.

One of the secrets lies in the asymmetrical internal geometry of the toilet, which ensures that the flushing water is directed through the ceramic bowl in the form of a powerful vortex. The Duofix installation system with its trademark blue frame, is optimally coordinated with the concealed Sigma cistern and the GEBERIT Acanto wall-hung WC to form a powerful package – the detailed interaction and functional principles of which can be seen in person at ISH.

GEBERIT can be found in Halle 4, Stand B06 at ISH in Frankfurt from 13 to 17 March.
