Dezeen Showroom: material brand 3form has launched a surfaces collection named Flare, which features reflective flakes informed by "the inherent beauty of shimmering light".

The Flare collection of materials has reflective, shimmering surfaces that are achieved by scattered metallic dust.

The Flare metallic flakes can be embedded into 3form's Varia translucent resin material for a finish with depth and texture, or applied to the surface of the brand's Chroma material for a one-sided effect.

The collection is available in a range of colours and was designed for use in hospitality, retail, or corporate environments.

"Inspired by the metallic spectrum, the Flare collection was created to reflect the inherent beauty of shimmering light," said 3form.

"The way that light interacts with our products is fundamental. Flare demonstrates our classic capabilities with colour and translucency, but it also shows how we can innovate and use our materials in new and exciting ways."
