Life of an Architect

Have you ever tried shopping for an architect? I bet you hated it … because architects are kind of snobby ( and I can say that since I am an architect ). I have been assembling this list for about 10 months and spent a chunk of my weekend pulling it all together – putting some new things on the list, and taking some old things off. When I counted everything up, I only had 21 times on here and, well, what sort of number is 21?

The holidays are a beautiful time of year. We are invited to slow down and spend time with family and friends. Stories of love and giving are everywhere we look. We are reminded at this time that every day throughout the year, we are blessed. But, as we enter the final month of the year and the holiday season quickly approaches, our days get shorter, our task list gets longer and the demands on our time often result in us feeling overwhelmed.

Evangelical Covenant Church, Hinsdale. Located on a tight site in a mature neighborhood, this well-established congregation was looking to expand and renovate their facility. A master plan was undertaken to determine the best course of action with a goal of addressing existing infrastructure, expansion/reorganization possibilities, and budget concerns.
