Hotel Born opened in 2017 adjacent to Denver’s Union Station at 1600 Wewatta St. This Kimpton Hotel contains 200 rooms. One of the noteworthy features of the property is a walkway at street-level that has been incorporated into the structure to allow public pedestrian access from 16th St. to the train platform at Denver Union Station. Hotel Born was designed by the Denver-based architecture firm Semple Brown.

220 Central Park South, a 953-foot-tall luxury multifamily tower that overlooks Manhattan’s Central Park, is the new location of the most expensive home ever sold in the United States. Ken Griffin, the Founder and CEO of the global investment firm Citadel, made the record-setting purchase, plunking down $238 million for a 24,000-sf penthouse. The previous record was held by a home that sold in the Hamptons in 2014 for $137 million.

Architecture billings slow, but close 2018 with growing demand

Architecture firm billings growth softened in December but remained positive for the fifteenth consecutive month, according to a new report released today from The American Institute of Architects (AIA). AIA’s Architecture Billings Index (ABI) score for December was 50.4 compared to 54.7 in November. Despite the positive billings, a softening in growth was seen across several regions and sectors, as well as in project inquiries and design contracts.
