After five years of construction, MVRDV ’s highly-touted mixed-use Valley project has officially opened in Amsterdam. Behind the under-construction Canyon , recently-completed Grotius Towers , and last year’s Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen project, the three-tower scheme represents one of the firm’s larger and more significant works of recent vintage.

UK studio Foster + Partners has revealed images of its golden Lusail Stadium in Qatar , which will host the final of the FIFA 2022 World Cup. The stadium , which will host 10 matches at this year's football World Cup including the final, was officially inaugurated on 9 September with a match between Saudi Pro League champions Al Hilal SFC and the Egyptian Premier League winners Zamalek.

Vermont architecture studio Birdseye has wrapped a Hamptons cottage in thin wooden slats that cast striped shadows on the interiors throughout the day. The project was completed in 2020 and is located on the South Fork of Long Island , in the town of Sagaponack. While today the area is mostly known as an upscale retreat for New Yorkers, architecture studio Birdseye drew inspiration from some of the traditional constructions found in the area.

Epic proportions are on offer at this converted church, for sale in Västra Götaland County in Western Sweden. The Norrmannebo Chapel was built in 1919 and served the local community for 100 years before it was converted into a private residence in 2014. While it has a new role, interiors very much celebrate the building’s original use, starting in the nave – reborn as the living room and dining space, and crowned by a swooping timber-arched ceiling.

Almine Rech Gallery in New York has launched its Nomadic Murals show featuring the tapestries of Swiss-French architect and designer Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, better known as Le Corbusier. The gallery collected five of the tapestries, of which only 30 were made, to show for the exhibition named Nomadic Murals. Almine Rech is showing a series of tapestries and studies done by architect Le Corbusier.
