Amazon will begin transforming an undeveloped swath of Arlington County into the largest piece of its second corporate headquarters [.] County lawmakers on Saturday unanimously endorsed the expansion of Amazon’s footprint at the 10.4 acre site in Pentagon City, known as PenPlace. Plans include three corporate office buildings, retail pavilions, a futuristic glass Helix, a child-care facility and about 2.75 acres of open space.

Further details have been revealed for the design of OCEANIX Busan , described as the “world’s first sustainable floating city.” Designed by lead architects BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) and SAMOO (Samsung), the project will be constructed in the South Korean city of Busan by advanced maritime company OCEANIX in collaboration with UN-Habitat.

Büro Ole Scheeren has won an international design competition with its entry for a 350-meter (1,148-foot), supertall, mixed-use skyscraper in Nanjing, China. Construction has been completed on the structure of Japan’s second tallest building, the 330m Toranomon-Azabudai Project A District tower, which will be second only to the Tokyo Tower. Sustainability begins with a conversation, and acquiring customer buy-in is entirely dependent on how the conversation is framed.
