Despite salary increases, construction job openings remain at a record high

A major increase in hourly wages has not stopped a record number of unfilled positions in the construction industry, according to a new analysis by the Association of General Contractors of America (AGC). While 36,000 employees were added to the construction industry last month, 494,000 open construction-industry jobs remained, representing a 40% jump on the previous year, and the largest total for any month in the 21st century.
